Gate Keeping
In the context of role-playing (RP), "gatekeeping" refers to the act of restricting or controlling access to certain aspects of the RP community or storyline. It involves imposing criteria or conditions on who can participate or engage in specific RP elements. While some level of regulation is necessary for maintaining order and ensuring a positive RP experience, excessive gatekeeping can be counterproductive and create a less welcoming environment.
Gatekeeping is a RULE BREAK
...but at the same time, it is also a RULE BREAK to give out info to people freely without no real RP.
exp: let's say that one of you gang members bring in someone who they know. Realistically you wouldn't give a new person every drug location and where they can find everything to buy / sell drugs. let them earn their pay.
